Terms of service
Last updated 8 September 2026.
Using saveas.now means agreeing to these terms. They are short because the service is simple: software that runs in your browser to convert and clean up files you already have.
1. The service
saveas.now provides web pages that load conversion software into your browser. The conversion itself runs on your device; your files are not sent to us. We provide the site, the sign-in service, and the licenses described on the pricing page. We may add, change or remove converters and features over time.
2. Licenses
- Without signing in you may use the site within the limits shown on the page.
- A free license is tied to an email address you control and works in the number of browsers shown on the pricing page. It is personal and not for sharing.
- A paid license unlocks the features listed on the pricing page for the period paid, on the number of browsers shown there. A “buy once” license lasts for as long as the service exists.
Limits are counted by the software and may change; the current values are always shown on the pricing page. A license may be used by one person. If the same license appears on more browsers than allowed, the least recently used browser is signed out.
3. Payments, refunds and cancelling
Payments are taken by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, in US dollars, and are subject to its terms as well as these. If Pro is not for you, email us within 14 days of the payment and it is refunded in full, no questions. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel: a pass simply ends, and buy once never does.
4. Acceptable use
Use the site for files you have the right to use. Do not try to break the sign-in system, flood the email service, scrape the site, or resell access. We may suspend a license that is used to abuse the service or other people, and will say why.
5. Your files and results
Because your files never reach us, you remain fully responsible for them and for the results. Check an output before you rely on it, keep your originals, and be aware that some conversions lose information by design (for example, re-encoding audio, shrinking a PDF, or turning a document into Markdown). The page tells you when that is the case.
6. Availability and warranty
We work to keep the site available and correct, but it is provided as is, without a warranty of any kind. Features depend on what your browser supports; the site says so when something is not available. We may take the site down for maintenance or change it at any time. If we ever discontinue it, active paid licenses are refunded for the unused period.
7. Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect damage. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Privacy
How we handle the little data we hold is set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and a change that matters is announced on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new terms. Questions go through the contact page.
