Mine an EPUB for quotable, searchable text
Book content as Markdown: chapters become sections, ready for notes, research and text tools.

- ExtractionIn-browser
Research works in text files, and books arrive as EPUBs. Extraction here converts a book's content to Markdown, chapter and section headings preserved, paragraphs flowing, emphasis intact, ready for note systems, quotation, search across works, and text pipelines. The reader-oriented packaging, fonts, page furniture, navigation files, stays behind. Only books you have the right to process belong here, and the processing itself never leaves your browser.
Questions
Do chapter divisions survive?
Yes, as heading hierarchy in reading order, which keeps navigation meaningful in text form.
What about images and covers?
Text extraction leaves them in the EPUB; the output is the words.
DRM-protected books?
Cannot be read and are refused plainly; only unprotected EPUBs convert.
