Need to send files under a password?
A ZIP re-packed with AES-256: contents unchanged, opening now requires the phrase you set.
Runs in your browser. Your file never leaves your computer.
- CipherAES-256 on every file
- Opens withStandard tools, any platform
- ContentsUnchanged, structure kept
- Forgotten passwordUnrecoverable, by design
Client documents, personnel files, backups for the accountant: bundles like these should not travel bare. Re-packing a ZIP with a password wraps every file in AES-256 encryption, openable by standard archive tools on any platform once the password is supplied. The structure inside is preserved exactly. Password strength is the real security, and there is no recovery from a forgotten one. Both the archive and the password stay inside your browser during the process.
Questions
Will recipients be able to open it easily?
With any modern archive tool and the password, yes; built-in OS extractors vary on AES ZIPs, so a free archive app is the safe advice for recipients.
How should the password travel?
On a different channel than the file: message the password, mail the archive. Same-channel defeats the purpose.
Local processing?
Entirely; encryption happens before anything could leave, and nothing does.
