Approvals travel as PDFs: they open on the approver's machine, print for the meeting, accept comments in every viewer. This conversion places the PSD's flattened composite on a PDF page, image-sized or fitted to standard paper, producing the proof without anyone owning Photoshop. Photographic composites embed as high-quality JPEG, graphic work embeds losslessly. As with every PSD route here, CMYK and 16-bit files are refused rather than mis-rendered, and processing is local.
Questions
Will colours match what the designer saw?
For RGB files, yes, the composite transfers as saved. Print-destined CMYK work is refused here precisely because casual conversion would shift colours.
Can several design variants share one PDF?
Convert each and combine on the several-PDFs bar, or drop several PSDs and merge; variants become pages.
Adobe software involved anywhere?
None, on either end. The browser reads the composite directly.
